Just in case anyone was interested, it was diagnosed as a bad master and slave clutch cylinders. Now, I just need a new timing belt, springs and struts, wheels and tires...etc...

Well...that wasn't the end of the saga. The hydraulic system was leaking and in need of replacement but that wasn't the entire issue. So, Pete found a person at school with an extra tranny and, after me promising to purchase it if it fixed my Sol, did a swap. That wasn't it either.

I'm happy to have my ride back and running smoothly thanks to delsoler's persistance in tracking down the problem to a bad clutch disk. Apparently, the previous owner or thief really hammered the shifting and it ate up the disk and springs such that two had actually come loose and a third was severly grounded down. Anyhow, I'm just happy to have my Sol back.

Eh, no problem. You stated upfront that it would most likely take some time so I had planned for it already. Luckily, the weather was fairly mild so it wasn't a biggie just peddl'n ass to and fro.

Thanks again. I actually haven't driven it much but I appreciate the smooth shifting when I have.
